Damn, that’s almost a shock to see it like that haha
Gets out of paint on Tuesday... (Alpine, plastic body, needs a new paint every 20 years...)

Gorgeous....can’t wait to see it when done! :D I have a model of one sitting on the shelf behind me!

I was wondering if corvettes had the same issues.
Also, I have a friend with a really good condition original paint on his A310 (It’s been sitting in a garage for 20 years before he bought it)

If the car doesn’t move, paint doesn’t move either... But the whole plastic body of a driven car, bending and twisting over the road makes the paint crack over the years...

Hopefully everything will be fine haha

Hmmm, how does the body handle having the previous paint removed from it? Do they have to get back down the original plastic? I’m guessing it’s a gentle process, wouldn’t want to sand the body away.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many mounting points for a bumper

Corvettes do have this issue...ask me how I know

It is nice to look at when it’s in good shape.
But the pedal box is shifted to the right, which gives it a weird feeling, at least to me

Could fix that by changing pedals maybe... like a Wilwood set or perhaps snagging another set and cutting/bending them all over a bit to centre them. Then if you make a mistake the stock ones are still okay.

Will it be painted with the original “bleu Alpine” color ?
If so, don’t you mind me ask what’s the color code/standard for this color ?

I don’t know the color code... But yes it will be repainted in its original Alpine blue.

Excellent choix

Well it’s the original color of the car, not really a choice :)

Think outside the box ... Elf replica ... Gendarmerie d’autoroute ...

haha, not my father’s thing... he’s owned it since 1976... merely getting him to change seatbelts 20 years ago was a mess. And he still doesn’t want to install a LSD from an 1800 in spite of it being completely reverse-able to stock...

1976 ... wow ... respect

Yeah I’m born in 1984... had this car around me my entire life :)
